“Burnout” with Christina Maslach

In a study by one insurance company, 40% of the workers surveyed reported that their job was “very” or “extremely” stressful. One-in-four employees view their job as the number one stressor in their life.

In another study by an insurance underwriter, it was found that problems at work are more strongly associated with health complaints than any other life stressor, even more than financial or family problems.

But when does job stress become job burnout? Burnout research pioneer, Dr. Christina Maslach, shares about job burnout and what we can do about it.
