Dr. Andrew Kolodny is one of the world’s foremost experts on the current prescription opioid and heroin crisis ravaging the United States.
He is Director of Opioid Policy Research at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. He is also the Executive Director of Physicians for Responsible Opioid Prescribing (PROP), an organization with a mission to reduce morbidity and mortality caused by overprescribing of opioid analgesics.
He is the lead author of: “The Prescription Opioid and Heroin Crisis: A Public Health Approach to an Epidemic of Addiction” which was cited in the most recent Report from the Surgeon General: “Facing Addiction in America.”
