Plastic Surgery Update: A Butt to Die For, Breast Implants, and T-Cell Lymphoma
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Ivan Turpin, joins the podcast to discuss two hot topics in plastic surgery. In the first segment, “A Butt To Die For,” we discuss the “Brazilian butt lift” procedure and why it is by far and away the most dangerous plastic surgery procedure being done today.
In the second segment, we discuss the undisputed link between breast implants and a rare type of T-Cell lymphoma. There are now 359 reported cases of women with breast implants who have developed anaplastic large cell lymphoma; nine have died. The World Health Organization and the FDA both agree this link is real.
Dr. Turpin puts these issues in context and tell us who is at risk, how big the risk is, and what to do if you’re at risk.
