Distracted Doctoring
This week is National Patient Safety Week, and in keeping with that theme, today’s show takes a closer look at the many distractions that occur in the operating room. Taking personal phone calls, posting on social media, and listening to loud music are just a few examples, and the distractions are increasing.
In this episode, Michelle Feil discusses distractions in the operating room, the consequences of those distractions, and some possible solutions to improve patient safety.
